ana borralho & joão galante Atlas PERFORMANCE   Ana Borralho and João Galante met each other while they studied visual arts at AR.CO and worked together regularly in the nineties as actors/co-creators with the famous portuguese physical theater group Olho. They have been working together on projects of their own since 2002 on performance art, dance, installation, photography, sound and video art, having created and performed the following pieces: Mistermissmissmister (2002), Glin Gló (2002), I Love You (2003), Girl Play Boy (2004), no body never mind, 001 (2004), no body never mind, 002 (2005) , no body never mind, 003 (2006), sexyMF (2006), Unissono (2006), an I for an I (2007) and I Put a Spell on You (2007/2008), Meatphysics (2008), Untitled, Still Life (2009), Meeting Room (2009), Gritos de Artistas (2010) e World of Interiors (2010), Animals are our friends (2012), Atlas (2011), Linha do Horizontes (2012). Since 2004 their work has been shown on international festivals in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Scotland, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Brazil, Italy, England, Czech Republic, Slovaquia, Finland and Slovenia. They are founding members of the band of non-musicians Jimmie Durham and the cultural association casaBranca. They are currently preparing, with casaBranca, the International Festival of Contemporary Art - Verão Azul - in the Algarve. They live and work in Lisbon and Lagos (Portugal).
