PT.13 - the PortuguesePlatform for Performing Arts, that will take place in Montemor-o-Novo from 29th May to June 1st, will present portuguese contemporary dance, theatre and performance art, in a display of some of the most interesting work created recently. During these four days, dozens of portuguese and international promoters, theatre and festival directors, will have the opportunity to discover new works and contact the respective artists, a gathering that we believe will be exciting, and will generate new opportunities.

The pieces will be selected by a small curator panel and a wide advisory board, that will include some the most representative promoters involved with the portuguese contemporary and perfroming arts scene. Although there is an emphasis in contemporary dance, our selection includes a solid program of experimental theatre and performance art. Whenever language is used in performances, it will be presented either in english or with english subtitles. Paralel to the performances, regular meetings with the artists will be organized. Besides, there will be plenty of time for professional gatherings, as well as for informal contacts, since we will do our best for this event to retain it’s unique intimacy

The performances will take place in 4 diferent venues in our town, and the meeting point, restaurant and organizational team will be located at Convento da Saudação, a beautiful monastery built in the 16th Century. Our team will do its best to host this event, of relevance for the international circulation of portuguese artists. We believe that the inovative approach, risk taking, and quality of the selected works, will be an exciting reason to attract a wide number of professionals.
