Teatro Praga (Prague Theater) identifies itself as a group or federation of artists, with coat of arms and history. As every performance, or day, is something else, it usually answers the question of who it is with a rephrasing of the question. Still, Teatro Praga plays with the established order and looks at the unpredictable variations it undergoes as a way of extending the concept of predictability.
Teatro Praga was born in 1995 and is based at Rua das Gaivotas 6, in Lisbon, a cultural venue where is responsible for its artistic direction. Collaborates regularly with some of the most prestigious theaters and institutions in Portugal and has performed in Festivals and Theaters in several European countries (Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Hungary, Slovenia, Estonia, Denmark and Poland), in Israel, Brazil and China.
More recently they have produced TERCEIRA IDADE (2013), TROPA FANDANGA (2014) and ZULULUZU (2016).
